Breaking out at Alberta Electronic Music Conference in 2019...it's now safe to say DJ/Producer DOOSHIMA has taken off. Charming dance floors through her eclectic selections, DOOSHIMA provides a 360 experience for every audience making DOOSHIMA the DJ no one was ready for.
Praised by peers and new fans, DOOSHIMA is said to be "a natural born selector whose soul reflects through sound curation," DOOSHIMA shows great potential for big rooms and festivals. She packs a punch with afrobeats, afrohouse, amapiano, drum and bass, dubstep, EDM, techno and has a new found interest in the South African bass thumping style Gqom! DOOSHIMA refers to her sets as "Letters to Heaven" where she seeks refuge in sound for healing. "I can't breathe without music, I need to play to stay alive!" she said at a Mental Health and Self Care panel with Dr Jay/ and producer and Youtube Personality, Andrew Huang.
She is signed to WE BAD MANAGEMENT, The Supreme Hustle, and is 1/2 of Tigerstyle DJs. DOOSHIMA curates the monthly Umoja Sessions which evolved from a residency at the now defunct Hifi Club. DOOSHIMA also holds title with Afros In Tha City DJs and THEY/THEM
